The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for a Medical Administrative Officer, for the Parma Community Based Outpatient Clinic. The Medical Administrative Officer will be responsible for directing, integrating, and evaluating administrative operations that support healthcare delivery.
What You'll Do
- →The Medical Administration Officer serves as the medical administration officer for the CBOC and has the responsibility of coordinating, directing and assuring quality management of the patient care administration activities of the clinics within the outpatient clinic.
- →Primary Care Line staff relies heavily on the incumbent's advice, guidance and assistance and responsible for relieving Primary Care's professional staff to the maximum extent possible of the administrative and management responsibilities that can be assumed by a non-physician.
- →The duties of this position can include, but are not limited to, the following: Manages and oversees office schedule and clinic programs.
- →Facilitates effective coordinating and interfacing between the clinic's administrative and clinical program elements.
- →Leads program administration within the clinic concerning matters such as equal opportunity, merit promotion, labor management relations and position management.
- →Reviews orders to verify their need and ensures that each section revises the appropriate share of the funds available.
- →Ensures safety and environmental regulations are met for clinic area and staff.
- →Develops both long and short-range policies and plans for the outpatient clinic, coordinating with the medical administration needs of the medical center or network.
- →Participates in the formative stages of overall facility managerial planning, raising awareness of medical administrative issues and assuring that implementation is considered, influencing management decisions.
- →Develops. evaluates. and modifies organizational structures and systems to achieve program goals.
- →Plans and/or accomplishes special projects by solving unusual problems by performing various duties relating to special projects involving administrative or support issues by conducting extensive research of data from diverse sources.
- →Establishes minimum standards of quality and productivity.
- →Directs program implementation.
- →Develops reporting procedures, sampling techniques and measurements at various points in the transaction process or business cycle, identifying problem areas or inherent weaknesses in work processes, procedures, information systems and content.
