This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for certain personnel in the DoD workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at Fort Polk, Louisiana working under Directorate of Public Works, Engineering Division.
What You'll Do
- →Perform office and field mechanical engineering duties associated with the design layout, and construction of large industrial and office buildings.
- →Ensure buildings mechanical systems are planned in accordance with standard practices and constructed in accordance with contract plans and specifications.
- →Review and recommend approval of mechanical equipment, shop drawings, and technical date submitted by contractors.
- →Investigate when directed a variety of problems which the contractor experiences in construction.
- →Participate in final on-site inspection.
