This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range & Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at Pine Bluff Arsenal serving as the principle engineer and point of contact in the Production Division for Mechanical Engineering problems, projects, and expertise.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as technical authority on problems related to the manufacture of chemical munitions.
- →Review designs to remedy defects and ensure safety and functional requirements are met.
- →Coordinate with other Engineers to plan changes in production equipment, locations, and in relocations necessary for the completion of assigned programs.
- →Ensures machinery and production equipment remain operational to reduce downtown.
- →Attend high-level meetings to map out production requirements or procedures to safely manufacture new munitions.
