You will serve as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER team lead on the E-2D Support Equipment IPT (BL23500) within the PEO(T) & JSF Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) Division at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE..
What You'll Do
- →You will coordinate technical planning and execution for multidisciplinary / cross-organizational team in addressing gaps in Support Equipment capability for the aircraft at all levels of maintenance.
- →You will perform risk management analysis to eliminate or mitigate identified cost, schedule, performance, quality and system safety issues.
- →You will create requirements documentation, test plans, procedures, scenarios, and system designs for fleet support.
- →You will analyze procedure or processes to identify areas for improvement.
- →You will identify mechanical systems and equipment performance problems to provide direction on corrective actions.
- →You will coordinate with aircraft program office Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Support Equipment team leadership on identification and prioritization of funding requirements.
- →You will maintain technical cognizance over engineering analyses, technical data packages, and other engineering work products to ensure accuracy.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
