About the Position: This position is in the Defense Health Agency Public Health, Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. What You'll Do
- →Perform duties associated with the receipt, turn-in and issue/shipment of a variety of supplies, materials, and equipment.
- →Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments manually, by handcarts, and other non-mechanized conveyances, or by operation with a forklift.
- →Receive both posted and un-posted items to include safeguarding Cold-Chain Management and Temperature Sensitive Medical Products (TSMP), Class I and Class II controlled substances, hazardous chemicals and compressed gases.
- →Operate electric, gasoline and/or diesel-powered vehicles with gross vehicle weights not to exceed Class 6 (GVW 19,501 to 26,000 pounds).
- →Operate a 2K forklift truck capable of lifting loads up to 4,000 pounds and as high as 30'.
- →Serve as the organization's alternate Mail Assistant performing various duties which include the accountability, safeguarding, and maintaining of registers for incoming and outgoing certified, insured, and registered mail.
