This vacancy is for aWL-6907-5, Materials Handler Leader located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, CG UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION CENTER -UDC in CAPE MAY, New Jersey.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a Materials Handler Leader and be responsible for insuring the uninterrupted supply of uniform items and associated supplies for the world-wide uniform needs of Coast Guard men and women, active duty, the reserves, auxiliarists, federal agencies, foreign governments under treaty and authorized patrons.
- →The position also requires the use of leadership skills and techniques to insure effective uniform provisioning.
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Conducts cycle counts and wall-to-wall inventory audits on warehouse stocks and uniform items to ensure inventory accuracy, accountability, and proper stock location management through visual inspections and adjustment reporting.
- →Assigns, distributes, and balances warehouse workloads and team assignments among employees to ensure timely completion of warehouse operations in accordance with established priorities, workflow requirements, and production deadlines.
- →Communicate assignments, priorities, deadlines, and operational requirements to warehouse personnel to support effective coordination of work activities and accomplishment of team goals and objectives.
- →Prepares inventory, production, and administrative reports and maintains warehouse records to provide supervisors with accurate information regarding work accomplishments, inventory status, and operational progress.
- →Operates mechanized warehouse equipment and computerized inventory systems to receive, store, move, and track materials and requisition data in support of warehouse and material handling operations.
- →Applies knowledge of warehouse methods, procedures, material handling techniques, and storage requirements to support safe, efficient, and accurate warehouse operations and inventory control activities.
