This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, US Coast Guard, Industrial Department, Mechanical Group, in Baltimore, MD.
What You'll Do
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Assisting higher level worker by performing specific simple and routine tasks involving in the installing, maintaining, repairing, adjusting and testing of marine vessel mechanical equipment.
- →Using power and hand tools to drill and mount such miscellaneous equipment as electronic gear, small pumps and controllers.
- →Assisting in the operating of portable power tools by holding and setting up tools.
- →Obtaining tools, supplies and materials and delivering them to work site as directed.
- →Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
