You will serve as a MANAGER in the Code 85B, Undersea Warfare Weapons, Vehicles, and Defensive Systems Deputy Department Head OR Code 75B Ocean Science, Autonomous Systems, and Ranges Deputy Department Head of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-6 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.
What You'll Do
- →You will work closely with other managers outside the unit to further activity and agency programs.
- →You will be the prime contact with the department's operations under his/her management responsibility and provide information and advice to higher level managers when the work of the unit impacts on other groups.
- →You will be responsible for management of the Department’s Operations including planning, finances, human resources, Information/Technology, engineering, contracts and facilities.
- →You will prepare the Department’s Annual Business Plan and coordinate Department Reviews with senior management; Track the Department’s overall financial performance and metrics, and develop and manage the Department’s operating budget.
- →You will develop department technical and Business Health Assessments, prepare and coordinate the department staffing and hiring plans, provide DEMO oversight, monitor Department EEO adherence, track DAWIA compliance and review all personnel actions.
- →You will develop department strategy and plans regarding NMCI, RDT/E network, and Information Assurance compliance.
