As a Management Analyst in the Veteran Readiness and Employment Division (VR&E), incumbent is an active participant in all aspects of division management and serves as the primary management support to the Veteran Readiness and Employment Officer (VREO) and the VR&E division identifying and analyzing issues and problems and proposes resolutions as well as manages data analysis and internal controls required for program administration.
What You'll Do
- →Typical duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for monitoring all funding including but not limited to: contract services, employee and beneficiary travel, overtime, oversight of subsistence allowance award functions, commercial credit card programs, and non-payroll expenditures.
- →Prepares production reports using data available through VR&E systems for the purpose of analyzing trends which could lead to out-of-control situations affecting the division as a whole and makes recommendations.
- →Prepares reports, Systematic Analyses of Operations (SAOs), weekly workload reports, and suspense tasking for submission to higher-level internal and external management, including Director's Office, Districts, and VA Central Office.
- →Prepares and interprets the statistical data for Quarterly Management briefings, Site Visits, Trip Packs, and other reports.
- →Monitors established computer programs and analyzes data to provide management information, such as Division and individual production statistics, and workload reports.
- →Plans, reviews, and analyzes program studies performed by the division.
- →Coordinates the reports control system to ensure complete, accurate and timely submission of all reports, and the review of records management system to validate that the resources are handled appropriately.
- →Controls and consolidates division training activity in accordance with requirements, ensuring that tracking methods are maintained and kept current.
- →Performs studies and analyses of management functions to improve management of the division, budget, and day-to-day operations. - Coordinates and schedules the review of policies and directives to ensure their accuracy, conformity and currency.
- →Coordinates and prepares responses to requests for input such as workload projection.
- →Develops and writes reports for the VREO, including recommendations for improvements to ensure effective operations within cost restrictions.
