What You'll Do
- →The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.
- →If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.
- →Performs a wide range of analytical studies and projects affecting major HQ program areas, including administrative and management policies, program objectives, operations, procedures, and resource use.
- →Compiles and presents oral or written reports to a wide IRS audience.
- →Develops and presents policy changes and recommendations to CI executives and/or senior leadership for appropriate course of action.
- →Works independently or with appropriate subject-matter experts to ensure approved policy and procedural changes are implemented and meeting established goals.
- →Frequently serves on project teams conducting analytical studies and/or projects to resolve substantive problems or improve effectiveness and efficiency of operating line or administrative support programs.
- →At this level, the incumbent will often serve as a project manager, responsible for assisting lower graded specialist assigned to the project team.
- →Projects and day-to-day activities require the use of basic information technology hardware and software applications (including but not limited to SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Space Time and Resources (STAR), etc. to gather and interpret data, prepare reports, policy statements, action plans, and illustrated presentations for delivery to CI executives and/or senior leadership.
- →Identifies methods to resolve or address program and/or management deficiencies, develops administrative process improvements, goals, objectives, and milestones and directs the development and execution of employee training relating to program needs.

Requirements
- ✓Probationary Period - A person who is required to go through a probationary period and then is transferred, promoted, demoted, or reassigned before he or she completes such period is required to complete the remainder of the probationary period in the new position.
- ✓Government Credit Card - Obtain and use a government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
- ✓Drug Test - Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
- ✓A negative result is required.
- ✓ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS SHOWN IN QUALIFICATIONS SECTION A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S.

- ✓FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
- ✓You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
