About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Finance, Mission Support Division, Human Capital Strategy and Planning located in Indianapolis, IN.

What You'll Do

  • As a Management and Program Analyst you will provide analytical support on a variety of personnel programs in support of the human capital mission, managing different program segments.
  • This position starts at a salary of $107,428.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $139,658.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
  • Typical duties include: Tracking position management through forecasting and gap-analysis for effective recruiting by forecasting future staffing needs, identifying gaps in staffing levels, and developing strategies to address these gaps.
  • Also Identifying attritions based on patterns, trends and historical information.
  • Providing expert advice involving human capital issues to the senior leadership within the Office of Finance.
  • This includes researching, analyzing, and advising on significant personnel program changes or developments, ensuring senior leadership understands current trends, best practices, and potential impacts on the organization.
  • Developing and recommending improvements in services and leads teams and projects in the redesigning, automating, and re-engineering of processes in order to meet the varied and changing requirements of the office.
  • Providing workforce planning and analysis services to OF's program offices by analyzing workforce data, identifying trends and patterns, and developing recommendations for staffing levels and skill requirements.

Requirements
