What You'll Do
- →Provides analysis and assessment of enterprise-wide Defense Health Agency initiatives for the Defense Health Agency Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Office.
- →Manages complex Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests requiring interpretation of statutory requirements, case law, and agency regulations to ensure accurate, timely, and legally sufficient responses.
- →Conducts record searches and performs detailed line-by-line review of sensitive records.
- →Applies Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) exemptions with precision.
- →Prepares defensible rationales that balance transparency with protection of sensitive information.
- →Drafts clear, concise, and well-structured correspondence and closure memoranda that articulate the basis for release or withholding decisions, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and full documentation of the FOIA life cycle.
- →Provides comprehensive subject matter expertise for the Defense Health Agency enterprise regarding Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) program policies and regulatory compliance.
