About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Enterprise Services, Administrative Services Division, Washington DC. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

What You'll Do

  • In this position you will serve as a senior analyst or advisor to management on a major mission or administrative programs.
  • This position starts at a salary of $106,437.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $138,370.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
  • Salary: Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection.
  • Duties will include but are not limited to: Planning and conducting special studies or task forces to provide advice and assistance to Enterprise Services leadership and sub-components, evaluating existing policies, and developing recommendations to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Coordinating activities of office support staff and providing analytical support on problem definition, planning methodologies, policies, and procedures to improve mission support and logistics functions.
  • Developing and administering management information systems and planning controls for long- and short-range plans, policies, and programs, including the preparation and review of budget and program resource submissions.
  • Serving as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), facilitating proper planning, management, and oversight of service contracts, and monitoring contractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual commitments.
  • Representing the organization at meetings and conferences, maintaining liaison with executive staff, Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Government Accountability Office (GAO), and other stakeholders to communicate program status and policy impacts.

Requirements
