PLEASE NOTE: Based on the current hiring restrictions, selectees may be subject to additional approvals prior to an offer being extended. This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Retail Strategy and Product Management Division. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will analyze, report, and make recommendations to programs, to develop and implement new methods and procedures, and formulate long-range plans for improvements.
What You'll Do
- →As a Management and Program Analyst, you will: Analyze current and projected Treasury security programs to provide management with evaluative material necessary to effectively administer them.
- →Plan, organize and direct efforts to encourage management officials to accept and implement recommendations where the proposals involve substantial agency resources or require extensive changes in established procedures and methods.
- →Conduct broad, complex studies affecting the relationship between Fiscal Service, other agencies, and the Federal Reserve System.
- →Review Treasury security policies and procedures to determine whether they continue to be appropriate or require modification.
- →Review new legislation for impact the agency and recommend policy or legislative changes as needed.
- →Develop and conduct briefings, presentations, and meetings on job-related subjects.
- →Present findings, conclusions, and recommendations to management officials in both oral and written form.
Requirements
- ✓All newly appointed employees to the competitive (or excepted) service are subject to a probationary (or trial) period.
- ✓During this time, your performance, conduct, and suitability for continued employment will be evaluated.
- ✓You will not automatically convert to permanent status at the end of the probationary (or trial) period.
- ✓Your supervisor must affirmatively determine that continued employment is in the best interest of the Federal service.
- ✓If no certification is made before the probationary (or trial) period ends, your appointment will be terminated.
- ✓You are encouraged to actively engage with your supervisor, seek feedback, and understand role expectations.
- ✓Additional guidance and support will be provided during onboarding.
- ✓Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- ✓Periodic reinvestigation is required no later than five years after selection and at least every succeeding five years.
- ✓Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
- ✓This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury.
- ✓The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time.
