About the Role
This position is located with the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Acadia National Park, with a duty station of Bar Harbor, ME. Anticipated Entry on Duty: July 2026 with a NTE of January 2027.
What You'll Do
- →Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Must be efficient at cleaning restrooms for the public within our 2 campgrounds.
- →Which is includes proper dilution ratios for chemicals Must be able to use leaf blowers, hand tools, lawn mowers.
- →Must be able to operate ride on lawn mowers and UTV's.
Requirements
- ✓Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
- ✓Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- ✓Direct Deposit participation required.
- ✓Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.

- ✓Must have and maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment.
- ✓You are required to wear a uniform and comply with the uniform standards.
- ✓A uniform allowance will be provided.
- ✓You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.
- ✓Ability to lift 40 pounds Physical Demands: Works from ladders, scaffolds and platforms and where surfaces to be coated, or the parts of systems worked on are hard to reach that require incumbent to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
- ✓Frequently lifts, carries and sets up parts and equipment that weigh up to 40 pounds.
- ✓Working Conditions: Work is performed inside and outside where dirt, spray, and fumes are present.
- ✓Also required to work in inclement weather and/or wear protective equipment and cl_othing that are sometimes heavy and uncomfortable.
