The Maintenance Supervisor works as the supervisor over the HVAC/Pipefitting Shop, Maintenance & Operations (M&O) Shops of Facilities Management Service for the Augusta VA Health Care System, Augusta, GA, under the supervision of the M&O Supervisor over the Building Maintenance, HVAC/Pipefitting & Renovation Team Shops. There are (2) HVAC/Pipefitting supervisors - Uptown & Downtown.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Performs all station level preventative maintenance to heating and cooling equipment, kitchen equipment, multiple office spaces, clinics, and functional areas of the hospital.
- →Makes necessary contacts when required for coordination and to gather additional information regarding preventative maintenance repairs and inspections.
- →Prepares cost estimates, obtains quotes, orders materials, parts, and equipment required for preventative maintenance.
- →Performs, and reviews work performed, practices, and methods involved in a variety of trades like pipefitting, HVAC, sheet metal forming, plumbing, & refrigeration.
- →Conducts periodic inspections of work that is in progress and that has been completed to determine the immediate and long-range work needs of the facility.
- →Must be able to become certified in COR Level 2 within 400 days of onboarding.
- →Performs other related duties as assigned.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
