This vacancy is for a WG - 4749-8,Maintenance Mechanic Worker located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, CG ACADEMY PUBLIC WORKS SECTION in NEW LONDON, Connecticut.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a Maintenance Mechanic Worker and be responsible for responding to fire alarms, security alarms, and emergencies (electrical failures, water leaks, floods, equipment failures, etc.) when standing 1st or 2nd shift watch.
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Cleaning such components as heat exchangers, lube oil coolers, evaporators, boiler tubes, etc.
- →Cleaning, lubricating and maintaining the tools and equipment of the various trades.
- →Performing routine preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment such as air handlers, fan coils, condensing units, pumps, and air compressor.
- →Performs routine preventative maintenance and adjusts equipment controls such as temperature sensors, thermostats, and leak detectors.
