This vacancy is for a WG-4749-09, Maintenance Mechanic (Utilities), located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), First Coast Guard District, Sector New York, Facilities Engineering Division in Staten Island, New York.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a Maintenance Mechanic (Utilities) and be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and repairs, and replacement projects in the areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Installing, modifying, repairing, trouble shooting (tracing and locating defects), loading and testing new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, electrical wiring, controls and equipment.
- →Performing minor carpentry repairs to the interior and exterior of buildings and structures.
