What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a Maintenance Mechanic, WG-4749-9 and be responsible for preventative, emergency, and routine service work as a Maintenance Mechanic in refrigeration, heating ventilation, air conditioning, and plumbing trades throughout the grounds.
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Logging expenditures of time and materials; and scheduling, accomplishing, and recording completion of work tasks.
- →Following established preventative maintenance schedules and manufactures maintenance instructions.
- →Repairing and maintaining large air conditioning systems that performs a variety of functions including heating, cooling, humidifying, dehumidifying, cleaning, filtering, and circulating.
- →Installing, modifying, and repairing new and existing utility supply and disposal systems and equipment such as sewage, water, oil and gas distribution systems and water closets, tubs, fire sprinkler systems, and showers.
- →Maintaining, repairing, and installing as necessary water distribution systems and components.
