About the Role

Serves as a Maintenance Mechanic in the Engineering Department of the Hale Koa Hotel. This announcement is open to current Hale Koa Hotel employees only.

What You'll Do

  • Works as a member of the Engineering team.
  • Operating Engineer monitors the building for safe conditions and proper functioning of building systems, fixtures, hardware and performs reactive/preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Operating Engineer must be able to understand, operate and maintain building management system controls.
  • Must be able to keep plant and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly environment.
  • Essential Functions: Primary responsibilities are daily maintenance, tuning, monitoring, controlling, troubleshooting and repair of physical plant systems and equipment.
  • Additional responsibilities include keeping a spare parts inventory, maintenance, planning/scheduling, inspections, record keeping and reporting.
  • Engineer maintains logs, tools and orders supplies as required for various building repairs.
  • Physical Plant Systems include (but not limited to): Fire life safety, Fire monitoring systems, Potable Water Systems, pneumatics, Chilled water loop/HVAC and Alternative power sources.
  • Primary equipment of responsibility: Fire Pumps, Generators, Chillers, cooling towers, Boilers, storage tanks, compressors, pumps, etc.
  • Adhere to all work order policies and procedures.
