You will serve as a Maintenance Mechanic with National Park Service at Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The primary purpose of the position is to perform building and/or utility maintenance and operation duties. Incumbent utilizes journeyman knowledge and skills in several trades and crafts.
What You'll Do
- →Troubleshoot and perform lower-graded electrical tasks (per plans/diagrams and the National Electrical Code) to install, repair, or replace wiring, controls, fixtures, and minor system components.
- →Operate heavy equipment and vehicles (e.g., graders, tractors/backhoes, dump trucks) and perform road/grounds/asphalt maintenance (grading, patching, crack sealing, drainage upkeep) safely and effectively.
- →Follow safety and compliance requirements (e.g., respirator fit, chemical handling, PPE; outdoor work in varied conditions; documentation) and maintain tools/equipment in safe working order.

- ✓Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
