This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & MRTFB in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned and -operated manufacturing center located in New York. It is the oldest, continuously active arsenal in the United States having begun operations in 1813.
What You'll Do
- →Insures that needed plans, blueprints, material, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations.
- →Independently installs, modifies, repairs, and maintains a variety of new and existing plumbing systems and equipment.
- →Interprets and applies building plans, specifications, blueprints, sketches, and other plumbing guides/codes to determine the most efficient and effective technique to perform the work, material and sequence to use.
- →Installs, repairs or replaces, modifies, loads, and tests new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, panels, switches, breakers, and controls located in and near installation buildings and structures.
- →Performs routine preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration and air conditioning units.
