This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Superintendent Senate Office Buildings, Assistant Superintendent Facilities Operations Division, Maintenance Branch, A/C Evening or Night Section and performs journey-level Maintenance Mechanic duties in electrical, plumbing and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC).
What You'll Do
- →This is an Essential-Employee Position.
- →The employee will be required to report to work during emergencies AND inclement weather situations.
- →Work schedule may require some occasionally mandatory overtime on holidays AND weekends.
- →The individual selected for this position will: HVAC: Performs maintenance inspections, installations and necessary repairs to various equipment including refrigeration, commercial kitchen appliances and HVAC.
- →Responsible for reading and adjusting electronic and pneumatic Direct Digital Controls (DDC), air compressors, ice machines and various pump and steam operated equipment.
- →Troubleshoots and builds various systems and software to include BacNet Direct Digital Control Systems, ALC software and Building Automation System (BAS).
- →Modifies pneumatic EMCS systems, electrical valves and sensors.
- →Electrical Monitoring and Equipment Creates prototype applications and rewiring layouts and troubleshoots using technical models and designs.
- →Responsible for correcting electrical control or monitoring systems and equipment.
- →Dismantles electrical-mechanical systems to resolve necessary repairs and makes corrections if necessary.
- →Executes installation and mantises existing electrical systems.
- →Removes and fixes electrical or electronic malfunctions such as relay systems, interface devices and analog/digital controls.
- →Plumbing Installs and repairs utility, supply and disposal plumbing systems.
- →Modifies systems and equipment flow and drainage.
