About the Role
You will serve as a MACHINIST LEADER in the Mechanical Shop, Shop 931 of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will lead over employees that are the rate of Machinist WG-10, Machine Tool Operator WG-09, Machinist (WSPP) WG-08 and Machinist Helper WG-05.
- →You will use shop mathematics to make necessary calculations.
- →You will check to see whether the supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines have been met.
- →You will see to it that needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available, and that needed stock is available from supply locations.
- →You will work with trainees by demonstrating to them their knowledge of the skill via On the Job Experience (OJE).
