About the Role
About the Position: This position is located with the 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center located at Fort Hood, TX. This position is a TERM Not to Exceed 13 months position. Please see "Additional Information" section below for further details.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as a staff officer in the S-2/3 for the Army Sustainment Command (ASC).
- →Formulate, evaluate, and coordinate logistics plans and policies.
- →Analyze mission objectives to determine the kind and extent of support required, coordinate with functional representatives to ensure adequate manpower, supplies, equipment and services meet specific requirements.
- →Assist in the establishment of training objectives, master of scenario event listing, and coordinate with internal and external staff in accomplishing tasks and missions.
- →Provide advice to management officials on training and development matters, such as procedures for assessment of training needs; training necessary to support short-and long-term needs; training methods and facilities.
- →Monitor and track training requirements and maintain updates in a battalion tasker database; plans, reports and evaluates training requirements.
- →Produce and utilize reports, to include briefing products, through visualization software such as Power BI, MAVEN Smart System, and other emerging software.
- →Attend logistics conferences, meetings, seminars, boards and workshops as a briefer to recommend logistics problem resolutions and new or improved techniques, policies, and/or procedures.
