What You'll Do
- →Formulates air movement schedules to meet organizational requirements for the strategic deployment of personnel and cargo.
- →Executes specialized air transportation and aerial delivery operations to ensure the secure movement of resources and personnel.
- →Validates special airlift mission requirements to coordinate transportation operations with national logistics providers.
- →Directs the development of transportation operating procedures to ensure organizational compliance with federal directives.
- →Develops detailed operational movement plans to support personnel deployment and redeployment for contingency missions.
- →Evaluates annual program requirements and high-cost expenditures to negotiate and update inter-organizational support agreements.
- →Analyzes transportation regulations and complex logistics issues to determine system adequacy and operational supportability.
- →Identifies potential logistics shortfalls and mission impacts to provide leadership with recommendations that preserve capabilities.
- →Performs on-site transportation program reviews to provide technical assistance on existing problems and upcoming requirements.
- →Establishes organizational transportation policies to make technical decisions and resolve complex operational challenges.
- →Prepares staff action papers and technical briefings to provide leadership with critical operational and logistics data.
- →Guides divisional staff on standard operating procedures to resolve unusual problems and deliver targeted employee training.
