About the Role
This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6), Durham VA Medical Center, Engineering Service, M&R Section, Construction and Maintenance, Durham, NC. The incumbent manufactures and duplicates keys and the keying and combination of locking mechanisms
What You'll Do
- →Calibrates dials, changes combinations, services tumbler nest, etc. and tests to be sure safe is operating properly.
- →Cuts all keys for use by hospital personnel, codes them for identification and services key duplicating machine to keep it in good operating condition.
- →Assembles, test, and evaluates the completed locking device to ensure it properly secures Works closely with management to determine the most suitable locks to be used in throughout the medical center.
- →Uses personal computer to assign proxy cards to necessary employees.
