About the Position: This position is with the St. Paul District. The position entails inspections, test operations, preventative maintenance, and emergency repair and replacement of a wide variety of electrical, hydraulics, and mechanically interrelated/interlocking facility equipment and controls.
What You'll Do
- →Independently schedules day-to-day maintenance and repair work; participates in short- and long-term preventative maintenance; and repair/replacement planning.
- →Performs the most complex troubleshooting, diagnostic maintenance inspection, and repair work.
- →Provides technical direction to other lower-graded personnel assigned to assist in the accomplishment of repair and maintenance work.
- →Makes repairs to electrical/electronic/mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic equipment as well as a full range of hand tools and power tools relevant to each of these specialty areas.
- →Installs new equipment systems or subsystems to replace faulty or worn items.
- →Fabricates parts; substitutes or makes component modifications; and takes other action, as necessary, to minimize down-time.
- →Maintains records documenting maintenance and repair work to include the preparation of field schematic drawings of equipment and systems as required.
- →Inspects, builds, troubleshoots, and/or disassembles electric motors, gasoline and diesel engines of the equipment at the installation, such as electric carts, pumps, generators, compressors, outboard boat motors, lawn and snow removal equipment.
