This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a Lock and Dam Equipment Mechanic WY-10/11 position with 2 vacancies with USACE Little Rock District, Operations Division. Located in Scott & Ozark, Arkansas Position in Ozark, AR is Bargaining Unit position Local IBEW 2107.
What You'll Do
- →Principal mechanic at a large lock and dam site.
- →Implement and maintain site-specific program of scheduled inspections, test operations, and preventative maintenance of a wide variety of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanically interlocking facility equipment and controls.
- →Schedule day-to-day maintenance and repair work.
- →Short and Long term preventative maintenance planning.
- →Perform complex troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical navigation equipment issues.
- →Responsible for diagnostic maintenance inspection,
