About the Position: This position is with Nashville District with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Nashville District, Ops Division, Technical Support Branch. This position serves as the District Load Handling Equipment (LHE) Program manager, responsible for management, control, and administration of the LHE program and LHE safety activities for the district. This announcement is for one position located at Grand Rivers, KY, Florence, AL, Grand Rivers, KY, Lancaster, TN, or Nashville, TN
What You'll Do
- →Prepares and updates the Nashville District's LHE program guidance documents assuring that the guidance complies with HQ USACE and industry LHE industry standards and regulations.
- →Is the Districts technical expert on LHE guidance.
- →Obtains and maintains certification as a "train the trainer" for LHE operator certifications as required to test and certify LHE operators within the District.
- →Assures that mandatory training is kept up to date for each operator, rigger or signal person.
- →Maintains the records for operator certifications and physical examinations as required.
- →Perform and oversee the annual inspection of all Load Handling Equipment within the Nashville District and verifies that inspection results are documented in the Facilities Equipment Management System (FEM).
- →Oversees and spot checks the record-keeping of documentation for LHE equipment inspections, load testing, start-up/monthly/annual inspections of the LHE within the Nashville District.
- →Ensures that critical maintenance is accomplished on the District's LHE and verifies that the maintenance is documented in FEM.
- →Supports the projects as required in regards to LHE maintenance, purchase, repair, and testing.
