About the Role
Under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse (RN), the LVN functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team assisting with the delivery of care to patients. The LVN is accountable for the quality of nursing care he or she provides to patients and utilizes the nursing process, assumes responsibility for planning, implementing, directing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.
What You'll Do
- →The LVN assumes the following responsibilities: 1.
- →This position requires flexibility in schedule and assignments, as this is a 24/7 hospital. 2.
- →BLS certified. 3.
- →Obtains/collects specimens as ordered. 4.
- →Participate in performance improvements. 5.
- →Administers medications and treatments to patients with complex nursing problems. 6.
- →Participates in daily DMS huddles and unit specific staff meetings. 7.
- →Participates in coaching and mentoring of colleagues or new employees. 8.
- →Performs and documents within the electronic medical record. 9.
- →Completes CPRS documentation and closes encounters by facility policy. 10.
- →Provides timely patient follow-up. 11.
- →Maintains confidentiality of patient information. 12.
- →Seeking opportunities for self-improvement and participating in performance improvements. 13.
- →Collaborates and communicates effectively with the Interdisciplinary Care Team. 14.
