About the Role
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), performs nursing assignments within Community Care Service located in VA Palo Alto Health Care System. The LVN possesses comprehensive practical nursing knowledge and skills in specialized procedures and practices.

- →LVN responsibilities include, but are not limited too: Delivers care in a dignified manner that preserves and protects rights, autonomy, diversity, cultural preferences, and honors the wishes of residents.
- →Ability to initiate work assignments in consultation with RN, including the willingness to assist other team members with workload.
- →Able to work as part of an interdisciplinary team, to provide resident and family care, supporting team decisions for care and function.
- →Maintains and enhances their own knowledge base and contributes this knowledge to the professional development of others.
- →Tracks ongoing community appointments and requests records after services provided on a schedule determined by the RN staff.
