This Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor will serve as a psychotherapist on a Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) team. The BHIP therapist will foster recovery-oriented, patient-centered, trauma-informed, and evidence-based, mental health care for Veterans assigned to the BHIP team.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include, but are not limited to: Provide individual and group evidence-based treatment for Veterans with a wide range of mental and behavioral health conditions.
- →Provide crisis intervention and stabilization, which may include facilitating connections to higher levels of care (e.g., emergency department) for patient safety.
- →Conduct all three components of measurement based care: collect patient reported outcome measures, share results with Veterans, and act on the basis of those findings.
- →Use telemental health and face to face modalities to provide psychological services to Veterans.
- →Promote communication between team members, patients, and their families to facilitate recovery-oriented treatment.
- →Actively participate in BHIP team huddles and through electronic communication (e.g., TEAMs chat).
- →Engage in implementation of the national BHIP Collaborative Care Model, including following standard operating procedures and contributing to continuous improvement efforts in the BHIP.
- →Complete timely documentation as required by the Medical Center Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm OR 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, subject to change based on the needs of the facility.

Requirements
