About the Role
The Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse, GS-06 is a member of the healthcare team, who performs a variety of nursing skills specific to the clinical needs of patients on the assigned work unit and under supervision of a registered nurse in a variety of inpatient and outpatient locations.
What You'll Do
- →This position will provide individualized patient/resident care in relation to the following CORE concepts; Safety, Technology, Program and Services, Equipment, Documentation, Communication and Philosophy along with established Position Specific Competencies.
- →LPN will display skills, knowledge and commitment necessary to comply with all established procedures, guidelines and SOPs found in CORE concepts and Position Specific Competencies.
- →The duties are as follows; but not limited to: Demonstrates knowledge and skills to carry out a full range of practical nursing care and specialized patient care duties to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavioral problems in the outpatient setting.
- →Assists with patient education and patient groups regarding medications and disease management.
- →Re-enforces all instructions previously given to patients by the MD/PA/NP/RN.
- →Demonstrates ability to manage telephone care to include disease management, medication management, lab and radiology results and other telephone communication.
- →Utilizes nursing protocols with attention to the individuality of patients, patient safety and evidence-based practice.
- →Assists in care coordination and access to specialty care through communication and placing consult per nursing protocols.

- →Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year).
