About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties include, but are not limited to: Prepares, administers, records, and communicates results of medications, vital signs, treatments, etc.
- →Appropriately reports and records gross and subtle changes in patient's status.
- →Under indirect supervision of the RN, functions as the primary nurse and gives the change of shift report to the oncoming shift nurse and NA.
- →Completes pain evaluations, and on the basis of pre-formulated guidelines, either provides education, or refers for further evaluation.
- →Reviews the patient's progress toward established goals and motivates the patient toward the achievement of these goals.
- →Documents as appropriate.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 0730-1600 Telework: Ad-Hoc with Supervisor approval Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
- →EDRP Authorized: Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply for incentive.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
