What You'll Do
- →If selected for this position, you will serve as a Case Manager providing a wide range of legal and administrative services to one or more Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) involved in criminal or civil litigation for the United States Attorney's Office, Northern District of Mississippi.
- →Typical duties include: - Drafts routine motions, pretrial filings, summonses, subpoenas, satisfactions of judgements, and other routine legal documents. - Prepares and manages discovery in a variety of formats; prepares exhibits and demonstratives for use in legal proceedings. - Provides general administrative support for assigned cases.
- →This includes but is not limited to entering information into case management systems; maintaining calendar of assigned active cases; and managing case-related documents. - Conducts factual research and non-complex research of legislation, statutes, regulations, and court cases. - Arranges travel for assigned litigation team to include securing and preparing travel authorizations and vouchers.
Requirements
- ✓All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
