About the Position: Fort Hood rests in the beautiful 'hill and lake' country of Central Texas between Killeen and Copperas Cove and is approximately 60 miles north of the capital city of Austin, 50 miles south of Waco, 160 miles south of Dallas, and 150 miles north of San Antonio. What You'll Do
- →Incumbent is Ft Hood’s staff expert on all matters relating to family housing privatization/Residential Communities Initiatives (RCI) and lodging privatization/Privatized Army Lodging (PAL).
- →Provides technical advice and assistance to Garrison Commander and other installation staff to represent Department of Army, IMCOM and Ft Hood objectives.
- →Develops and implements command-wide policies and procedures for assigned functional areas.
- →Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
- →Ensures that Fort Hood meets family housing and Army Lodging privatization objectives and monitors IMCOM installations' compliance with E.O. 811063 on equal opportunity in housing.
- →Furnishes technical and professional support in the preparation and defense of housing and lodging privatization programs, plans, and budget estimates at all echelons.
