The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Team Lead Public Affairs (PA) Specialist at Force Management branch level within the Secretary of the Air Force Office of PA. Develops communication strategies & provides PA advice, authority, technical expertise, & management support. Provides policy, program guidance, & oversight of PA programs and activities.
What You'll Do
- →Ensures work of the team is carried out by performing a range of coordinating and supportive duties and responsibilities, including establishing team goals and objectives and setting and adjusting short- and/or long-term plans and priorities to achieve them.
- →Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates a major public affairs function with Air Force-wide applicability, ensuring that public affairs activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
- →Represents the organization to a variety of governmental and nongovernmental agencies, councils, boards, working groups, conferences, media organizations, and panels inside and outside the agency.
- →Serves as senior adviser in the assigned area of responsibility.
