The incumbent serves as a Lead Personnel Security Specialist in the Intake and Operations Branch (IOB), Personnel Security Division (PSD), Office of Professional Responsibility and Security Operations (OPRSO). OPRSO provides a wide array of security and investigative services, assesses and recommends asset protection countermeasures, conducts background investigations, suitability, security adjudications, risk and threat assessments, develops emergency preparedness and business continuity plans.
What You'll Do
- →The major duties of the Lead Personnel Security Specialist (Operations), position include, but are not limited to, the following: Organizes, distributes and adjusts workloads and case assignments based on established priorities and deadlines.
- →Provides primary technical training regarding all functions of initial vetting, to include the initiation of background investigation, processing of security packages, and conducting routine repository records techs.
- →Serves as the subject matter expert regarding all functions related to initial vetting.
- →Conducts quality control assessments of work products created by IOB Personnel Security Specialists, Personnel Security Assistants, and Personnel Assistants.

- ✓Citizen or National Selective Service registration is required for males born on, or after, December 31st 1959.

- ✓Suitable for Federal employment determined by background investigation.
