About the Position: This position is located at Madigan Army Medical Center, Department of Mental Health in Tacoma, Washington. Advance in Hire may be authorized. This is available for those candidates who are new to Federal service or those with a break in service of at least 90 days.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as Lead Medical Support Assistant (Office Automation) for the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
- →Distribute daily workload within limits established by the supervisor among employees in accordance with established workflow and priorities.
- →Report to supervisor on performance, progress, and training needs of employees and on disciplinary problems.
- →Make informal suggestions to supervisor as requested concerning promotions, reassignments, recognition of outstanding performance, and personnel needs.
- →Answer questions regarding substantive matters that require familiarity of policy as well as regarding cancellation of appointments, clinic hours, and release of information on patients’ appointments.
- →Ensure medical records are maintained in compliance with regulatory written guidance.
- →Use a variety of software programs to create database files, retrieve reports, statistical data, rosters, and prepares reports.
