About the Role
You will serve as a LEAD FIREFIGHTER (BASIC LIFE SUPPORT/ HAZARDOUS MATERIALS TECHNICIAN) in the Fire and Emergency Services of NAVBASE KITSAP SILVERDALE WA.
What You'll Do
- →You will collaborate with fire fighter personnel to ensure emergency responses (e.g., fire suppression, injured victims, hazardous spill cleanup) are assigned.
- →You will coordinate placement of firefighting equipment or other resources during emergencies.
- →You will coordinate with officers on other shifts and stations to ensure work accomplishment, training, and priorities are met.
- →You will identify hazards that require modification to a fire prevention or fire protection program.
- →You will identify, collect, and interpret hazards of known and unknown hazardous materials involved.
- →You will use medical equipment (e.g., semi-automatic defibrillation device, cervical spine collars, back boards, hydraulic rescue tools) in providing emergency services.
