This position is with the Office of the Secretary of Interior, DAS-M, Office of Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) in Location Negotiable After Selection, United States. The position serves as the Indian Affairs (IA) Lead for the Charge Card Program under the OCFO. The incumbent provides leadership, strategic direction, and expert-level guidance to ensure compliance, operational integrity, program efficiency, and risk mitigation across IA's purchase, travel, and fleet charge-card operations.
What You'll Do
- →Evaluates and assesses the efficiency and effectiveness of the Charge Card Program.
- →Serves as IA liaison with Department of the Interior's Charge Card governance structures, including the Charge Card Program Manager, Charge Card Support Center (CCSC), Bureau Leads, and cross-bureau working groups.
- →Coordinates with IA program offices to ensure cross-functional understanding of risks, audit requirements, corrective actions, and compliance obligations.
- →Ensures program guidance is consistent with DOI policies for purchase, travel, and fleet cards.
- →Recommends enhancements to operational workflows, management controls, financial management processes, and program procedures.
- →Coordinates with IA programs, BIA, BIE, and other internal offices to ensure consistent implementation of charge-card policy and internal control requirements.
- →Provides technical support and authoritative guidance to cardholders, approving officials, supervisors, and program managers.
- →Develops and delivers training for charge card roles (cardholders, approving officials, A/OPCs).
