The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT) at this level is fully functional and can carry out assigned tasks independently. This DRT functions as a lead for a group of DRT's at the full performance level and below, providing input on performance, resolving daily workplace issues, and ensuring efficient workflow in general radiology.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties include, but are not limited to: Performs technical work in support of diagnostic radiology under the direction of a physician.
- →This includes operating radiology equipment, both mobile and fixed, and assisting the radiologist in fluoroscopic procedures as part of the diagnostic plan for patients.
- →Works closely with outside teaching facilities, that the VA has affiliation agreements with, in the training of DRT students.
- →This includes coordinating daily assignments, answering questions, critiquing images, and evaluating student performance.
- →Supports radiologist or other medical officers to produce radiographic studies used to diagnose medical conditions.
- →DRTs at this level may have varying assignments including special and complex radiographic procedures.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
- →Work Schedule subject to change based on agency needs.

Requirements
