What You'll Do

  • The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.
  • If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.
  • Communicates TAS mission, vision, strategic plan, and values to team members and ensures the integration of all the team's goals, objectives, strategies, work plans, and work products and services.
  • Elevates procedural/policy issues and provides technical recommendations through TAS Systemic Advocacy leadership channels to identify taxpayer issue trends and improve case processing methods.
  • Articulates work assignments, projects, problem areas, significant issues, deadlines, and time frames for completion to the team.
  • Leads the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload among employees in accordance with skill level in coordination with the manager and suggesting adjustments in the workload to ensure timely completion of the case work.
  • Ensures that each team member has an integral role in achieving the final team product.
  • Serves as a classroom instructor, Lead Case Advocate Training (LCAT) Instructor and coach as well as Subject Matter Expert as needed in development of training material and training classes.
  • Works with each employee to develop individual technical training plans and tailor existing training to meet the needs of the group or the individual.
  • Applies creativity in exploring different training methods and coordinates all training in the group with other groups and offices as needed.

Requirements

  • Probationary Period - A person who is required to go through a probationary period and then is transferred, promoted, demoted, or reassigned before he or she completes such period is required to complete the remainder of the probationary period in the new position.

  • FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
  • You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
