This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service. The primary purpose of this position is to provide protection of life, property, preservation of civil rights of individuals, including prevention, detection, and investigation of incidents and crimes committed on or adjacent to Federal property. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.

- →As a Law Enforcement Specialist (Facility Security Assessment Program Manager), GS-1801-13, your typical work assignments may include the following: Conducting law enforcement investigations and documenting actions within the appropriate FPS (Federal Protective Service) case management system.
- →Identifying threats, vulnerabilities, consequences and recommending countermeasures to keep persons and property safe.
- →Overseeing and managing the regional Facility Security Assessment (FSA) process to include analyzing problems, determining deficiencies, finalizing inspections, and taking corrective actions.
- →Assisting leadership in developing solutions to major protective security problems.
- →Serving as the Continuity of Operations' point of contact for external stakeholders to ensure risk management services are communicated effectively.
