Laundry distribution positions involve primary skills of loading, unloading, and preparing for transporting of linen to medical center at Alexandria VA and outside clients; Fort Polk Bayne Jones Army Hospital, Shreveport VA Medical Center, Camp Beauregard National Guard Training Center, and Camp Cook training center.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include, but are not limited to: Receiving, weighing, and marking soiled linen and apparel for transport to contracted laundry for processing: Receiving, weighing and processing, assembling and issuing clean linen.
- →Classifying and marking clean linen; Folding roughdry linen items; Sorting and storing by item identification; Preparing linen for transport to medical center wards Work Schedule: 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday-Friday, subject to change based on the needs of the facility.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation Selective Services Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 Selected applicants will be required to complete an online onboarding process.
