About the Role
Incumbent serves as a staff Kinesiotherapist for the Physical Medicine &Rehabilitation Service. The position requires a VA Certification course in Driver's Rehabilitation and/or an ADED certification that functions independently and receives guidance and direction from the Supervisor of Kinesiotherapy only in special and unique situations. Incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert in the content specialty area.
What You'll Do
- →The primary function of this position is evaluation and treatment of patients referred to Kinesiotherapy with needs pertaining to driving assessment and /or equipment evaluation for adaptive needs to promote driving and/ or ingress/egress independence.
- →Duties Include but not limited to the following: Performs independent patient evaluations using appropriate standard and non-standard tests and independently develops and implements Kinesiotherapy treatment programs for patients with multiple complex diagnoses & disabilities.
- →The incumbent is able to modify and adapt treatment programs when appropriate.
- →The incumbent is able to work independently and effectively with other members of the team, families, and friends of patients.
- →The incumbent is able to document patient status and progress independently.
- →Actively participates in his/her own professional development maintaining an appropriate level of education as required by AKTA Standards.
- →The incumbent assists in the training and supervision of part-time and full-time student affiliates.
- →The incumbent provides necessary guidance and direction to students and volunteers assigned to the clinic.
- →Other duties as assigned.
- →Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00AM-4:30PM Compressed/Flexible: Not Authorized Telework: Ad-hoc, as determined by the agency policy.

Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S.
