This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - IO/Chief Information Officer.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as principal technical authority and lead specialist with responsibility to ensure effective, economical, and advanced technical management of customer computing requirements for assigned systems and applications.
- →Projects managed directed, or otherwise undertaken are large-scale in scope with technical authority over a wide range of Information Technology (IT) disciplines, systems, and applications.
- →Plans, coordinates and executes the installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of major operating environments: compilers, communications systems, systems management products, third-party systems software, and software packages.
- →Develops and implements systems diagnostic and maintenance tools to ensure the availability and functionality of systems require to support organizational objectives.
- →Provides technical guidance, interpretation, and implementation oversight of applicable information security policies, processes, and practices.
- →Ensures continued operational availability and integrity of enterprise applications, systems, networks, and data.
Requirements
- ✓There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-12 grade level.
