You will serve as an IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (Information Systems Security Officer) in the OCEANS TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-3 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 through GS-14. This position has a control point equivalent to the GS-12, Step-10 level.
What You'll Do
- →You are responsible for overseeing the security posture of assigned programs, systems, and enclaves within the Department of the Navy (DON), including Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT) and RDT and E systems.
- →You will conduct vulnerability analysis, monitoring systems for threats, supporting incident response activities, ensuring compliance with Department of War (DoW) and DON policies, and maintaining system security documentation.
- →You will manage the system's security posture by implementing and continuously improving information security controls to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- →You will prepare and maintain all critical system security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs).
- →You will execute all procurement actions associated with RDT and E Tech Refresh and Software License Renewals / Hardware Maintenance Renewals for Department (required to maintain Cyber Authority to Operate).
