About the Role
This position serves as a Property Manager in the Material Management Division of the Logistics Service in a Veteran Affairs Health Care System (VA HCS) and supported catchment area, with responsibility for the inventory and lifecycle management of all non-expendable (NX) equipment in the assigned area(s).
What You'll Do
- →MAJOR DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Schedules and conducts physical inventories.
- →Maintains accountable property and receipt documents Conducts market research on product pricing and performance.
- →Researches and conducts analysis of potential cost savings, efficiencies and process improvements using quantitative analysis and historical usage patterns.
- →Utilizes performance measures to conduct forecasting and quantitative analysis Utilizes inventory principles, standard, and non-standard methodologies, and concepts to determine need to intervene in the supply system Maintains equipment inventory lists Manages and controls all inventory transactions for non-expendable medical equipment requests and transactions.
- →Recommends actions to eliminate problems involved in delivering services to inventory customers or in implementing policies.
- →Trains and assists on equipment acquisition, disposal, scanning and tracking of equipment.
- →Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
- →Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
